For UG programs, many institutions in Dubai accepts applications from students who has above 50% in Class 12 and for PG programs, 50% above in bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Some universities also offer diplomas. Many programs offer both full and part time studies, evening classes and accelerated programs with year-round attendance. At public universities in Dubai, the medium of instruction is Arabic, with emphasis on English as a second language, while almost all private universities in Dubai teach in English. Courses are available in a wide range of subjects, with the most popular programs being information technology (IT), business, engineering, management and marketing.

Fees

Average annual fees for a UG degree program ranges from AED 37,500 to AED 50,000 and for a Master’s degree, from AED 55,000 to AED 70,000. Institutions in Dubai offer many scholarships reducing these fees and making it comparatively cheaper for international students.

Living Expenses

No proof of living expenses is required for visa applications, but international students should plan for monthly costs ranging from AED 3,000 to AED 6,000, covering utilities, housing, transportation, meals, and entertainment. On-campus housing is around AED 3,000, while private rentals are approximately AED 5,000.

Part-time work rights

In the United Arab Emirates, international students can work off-campus with approval from the Department of Labour and their university or college. Students must be over 18 years old and can work up to 15 hours per week or 60 hours per month during the academic sessions.

Stay Back After Course

In 2018, the UAE government passed a measure to offer a 5-year visa to exceptional students. Graduates from universities with a GPA of 3.75 or higher will receive a renewable 5-year visa, providing them the opportunity for long-term residency, job placement, and the option for their families to benefit from the visa as well.
